A TVET Forum which seeks to convene the different TVET stakeholders in the province of Ilocos Norte will be spearheaded by TESDA Region I on April 22-23, 2010 at the Java Hotel in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte.
The forum aims to provide inputs on TVET such as its role in the industry, TVET and labor, and TVET in local governance. It also aims to facilitate the stakeholders’ conformity on TVET concerns which shall strengthen the TVET corps and advance TVET’s role in local governance.
A total of 150 participants coming from the Technical Vocational Institutions (TVIs), Local Government Units (LGUs), government line agencies, Non-government Organizations (NGOs), private industries, community training and employment coordinators, assessors and other TESDA partners in the province of Ilocos Norte are expected to join the event entitled “TVET in Local Governance”.
Honorable Pastor Z. Guiao, Director General of TESDA, will grace the forum along with Executive Director for Corporate Affairs Noel Villaflor and TESDA Region IV-A Regional Director Teodoro M. Gatchalian.
