Message from the Regional Director
SIPUPUDNO NGA AGSERBI!

WELCOME TO TESDA REGION 1.
Our TESDA Region 1 website is an attempt to touch
base with our numerous and varied stakeholders, customers and beneficiaries. It
isour link to them for a better service delivery.
The various information contained herein will,
hopefully, give inputs to sound decision making on policy formation, technical
education and training investments, skills development planning as well as
guides in the management of skills development programs.
We shall be constantly updating the website for we
believe that this technical facility should be relevant and responsive. We
believe that it would be useless if it is laded with stale and inutile
information.
Our challenge therefore is to have this website
useful to everybody who has the yen to learn.
Thank you.

FEATURES...
RD Querubin is new TESDA I Regional Director
Newly-appointed Regional Di¬rector Cenon M. Querubin takes over TESDA I
leadership as former Regional Director Washington M. Agustin took his mandatory
retirement on August 22, 2012.

“I am pro-people, I love people,” RD Cenon, as he would like to be called,
assures all TESDA staff at the TESDA I Compound, San Fernando City, La Union
during his first meeting with them. He un¬derscored Work and Financial Plan
(WFP) targets (or the Profiling-Enrolment-Grad¬uates-Assessment-Certtification-
Employ¬ment/ PEGACE), ISO Certification and Social Marketing and Advocacy
Campaign (SMAC) as the three major goals that must be accomplished until the end
of 2012.
RD Cenon came off from his last post as Provincial Director in Bulacan, one of
the biggest provinces of the country, where he brought TESD delivery to high
peaks and outstanding performance levels. There he was appointed by the
President as Director IV, making TESDA Region I as his very first assignment as
full-fledged Regional Director.
The new Director is a strong ad¬vocate of Technical Education and Skills
Development having spent practically most of his professional life with the then
NMYC and eventually, TESDA. Director Querubin, rose from the ranks. He worked
his way up to become a Regional Director that he is now. His professional merits
can¬not be questioned as he passed progressive levels of eligibilities, from
Career Service Professional to the CEO eligibility.
An epitome of a true public ser vant and a beacon of hope for the needy, RD
Cenon was recognized by the Civil Service Commission with a “Pag-asa Award” in
2006. ]
A true-blooded Ilocano, he hails from Caoayan, Ilocos Sur. His educa¬tional
achievements include degrees in BS
Accountancy and Master of Management.
